Hello!!
 I'm
Atul Gupta, an Internet Consultant and Promoter of SEORank.com (a
search engine optimization consulting company) and pugmarksdesign.com
(a web development company).
I've been tracking the evolution and algorithms of search engines
since early 1995, an era when Google™ was not yet born and
AltaVista™, then owned by Digital™, was being served
as a subdomain altavista.digital.com,
while their actual domain altavista.com
was being abused by a domain squatter.
In early 1996, I co-founded a web hosting and web services company
called Pugmarks InterWeb Pvt. Ltd. (PIPL). I led PIPL as its CEO
for 6-1/2 years to make it one of the largest web services company
of its time. In early 2000, PIPL got its first round of VC funding
and I successfully sold my shareholding of PIPL in Dec-2002.
Over the last 7 years of my Internet career, I go t
the opportunity to serve over 3000 clients while I was heading PIPL.
I have helped several companies formulate and roll out their online
marketing strategies targeted towards search engine positioning.
Over these years, especially early on, I have committed my share
of mistakes of relying on SEO tricks like doorway pages, multiple
meta tags and multiple use of keywords phrases where not needed.
I have since seen the SEO industry (and myself) mature to realize
the ill effects and redundancy of such tricks. My Company (with
25 full-time dedicated professionals) and I, now believe and practice
very ethical yet most powerful techniques for search engine optimization,
which produce long-lasting results.
I keep myself abreast of the latest search  engine
news, developments and keenly watch their algorithms evolve. Search
engines need to constantly tweak their algorithms to continue serving
their users with the most targeted and the most relevant content
and an out and out fair site positioning. I enjoy interacting with
other SEO experts in the industry, as it is my constant source of
learning. I constantly follow up on other search engine optimization
portals, sites and forums and compile information and ideas to provide
the best possible information to you.
